With all the tragedies and dramas going on in the world these days, this chap was concerned that one small personal tragedy was not getting its due consideration — its fair shake, if you will. So please consider this, for a moment: Rupert Murdoch, owner of most of …
all of?
… the profitable media in the world, it seems, apparently can’t get enough of an audience in the UK for his own Fox News on his (almost) own Sky TV to make it viable. So it was ejected removed from the schedule. Sad, yes?
… before we get going, this chap would like to point out the possibility that though our readers might have heard of Alex Jones and Infowars, they might have missed out on his recent Performance Art defence. In itself – arguably – some of his best performance art. Then of course, this chap is not the expert on that particular topic.
Meanwhile …
Graham has worked in performance art …
… and seriously, knows whereof he speaks. Be warned, though, you can’t talk about this stuff in front of the kids. (Yes, Ian, we’re talking about you, Jude, and the herring… ) But it was always a broad tent and, frankly, needed one from time to time (yes, Ian and Jude, we do mean you).
No, really — and actually, he remembers lots of times.
John says …
So did ‘Chuck’ Dickens
Graham says …
Surely ‘Marcie’ Proust? But I digress…
John says …
‘Chuck’ … Tale Of Two Cities
But what he actually “remembers” of course is his reconstruction and even concatenation of those times, which may make for good stories, but even with the best intent may barely resemble the actual events. Memories melt, fold, dissolve, as Dali observed. But at least with repetition, the stories get better, which is a lot of the point of “laying down memories” while you can.
