Still Thinking About Paris

As this Chap mused ruefully, earlier

When US businesses are speaking out en masse in favor of the Paris Agreement, on business grounds, and the head of the EPA is agin it — well, summat’s definitely nasty oop i’t woodshed.

The  evident caprice and almost-risible evasions and denials suggest strongly this was not, shall we say, a consensus political decision … more an individual, less-considered agenda.

Now I’m Not Comparing …

… but this Chap …

… happened to come across what ‘The Leader of The Free World’ wrote in The guest book of The Holocaust Survivor’s Museum in Israel back in 2008. And then what Trump wrote when he dropped by this week.

In case you can’t make it out – some other chap (ess?) made it easier to read … even though they don’t know how to spell Holocaust … DOH!

This Chap stumbled into this particular link over the weekend … and, he has to admit that he was initially ‘psyched’. Until he wasn’t.  His initial thoughts, shared with he that provided the original link.

I am sure that the problems are immediately apparent Continue reading “Gin And Tonic Pancakes”

And so, it seems, is Microsoft. Machine translation from regional dialect is apparently something that has been vexing them (Trans: causing some head-scratching in Redmond). Evidently they are getting somewhere, according to an article in the Register entitled, “Eee by gum! Aye up, Microsoft, what’s tha y’ got? [Trans: I say, Microsoft, what do you have there?] Cloud for accents?” We Chaps are somewhat flattered to see a small (but immensely important and significant) region honored with such attentions. Especially as it’s not been an easy life oop (Trans: up) there… Continue reading “‘Appen* It’s Another Thing”
